Rich people

If you were a rich person your responsibilities are a lot easier because you can use the large sums of cash you have to get whatever you need to do. If you are wealthy a road is opened filled with luxuries that the rich can buy with their money. Compared to the poor they don't have to worry about stuff being too expensive to buy or caring about how they spend their money as they have so much of it. If you look at most wealthy people you notice that they have so many unnecessary things that they bought. For example how many of them have unbelievable large mansions as homes. I don't think is it that necessary for one to need a home of that size. If you were poor you always on alert on how you are going to pay your upcoming bills and fretting about how you are going to come up with the money all the time. I also have to admit that maybe the rich do have a lot of responsibilities now that I think about it. If I were to look at it from their point of view, I must say that the effort they put in to bring themselves to the wealthy state they have gain must have been very difficult. As they had to have the responsibility to manage the company or what ever occupation they have in order to achieve that success. They probably have a lot of responsibility if they were a very big well know C.E.O. who has to manage the company and all of its employees. The rich also bear the responsibility on how to maintain wealthiness in order to keep all of the luxuries they have now. This argument can really go both ways. As the rich who were born into wealthiness, are already have the money and does not need to have earned themselves I would say that they bear very little responsibility. They would have the good life since the day they were born and be use to having the easy life.

The difference between responsibility and obligation is that responsibility is where you as a person takes matters in your own hands and control it. Responsibility is like your duty or goal that you must fulfill and is required of you to do. Obligation is something that you also must do and fulfill the task. Obligation is a little different as you are making commitment. Making a commitment means that you, yourself are setting guidelines for yourself to follow. To make a commitment is for you to do the task no matter what is thrown in your way and you will fulfill the task with no excuses. Responsibility is something put on you an obligation is something you who put it on yourself.

Social responsibility is an obligation. It is a responsibility that is put upon you by another individual or organization. Also it is an obligation as you must make it to a commitment for yourself. It is a duty that you are responsible and obliged to do. Responsibility requires that you must be committed on following up on every responsibility that you have given to you.

My responsibility in society is to act like a humane person and act normal and follow every law that is enforced. I am expected to be friendly, reliable, honest, truthful by my friends. I am expected from my siblings is that I must be the best brother to them. My responsibility to my parents is that I must become a person who they could respect. My responsibility to the teacher is to be committed to do every task given to me to further my knowledge, be able to achieve all of goals, and be willingly to learn from them. My responsibility to school is to show up. My responsibility to my neighborhood and community is be friendly and respectful. My responsibility to my town and state is by being a good by standing citizen. My responsibility to my race is make everyday a proud full day to be who I am. My responsibility to my religion is to follow it. My responsibility in the government is to care about it. My responsibility to the world is respect it. My responsibility to animals is to care about their well being and respect that they this world with us. My responsibility to humanity is ... I don't know, support it I guess. My responsibility to the environment is to treat it well.

Who is expected to behave responsibly in my family would have to be everyone as everyone has something they must do for the other in it. Who is expected to behave responsible would have to be the teachers and the other adults as they are responsible for all the students in the school. Who is expected to behave responsible in the community would have to be everyone because everyone plays a role in it. Who is expected to behave responsibly in the country would have to be the people and the government.

I think age has a great affect on the conflict between responsibility and desire because as you get older the responsibilities will grow more and the desires may vary on your age. The responsibilities you have are very different from when your a kid compared to you as an adult. As a kid you don't have many responsibilities because at this age your still being protected and raised by your parents. When your at the age where you need to take off and start living alone you now have the responsibility to be able feed youself and protect your self and look after yourself. At this grown up age, all the responsibilities that your parents have for you becomes yours to worry about. The desire you have as a child is different because when I was a little kid all I wanted was to have fun, have some candy and get the newest toys. When your older your desire is to survive and make alot of money to be able to provide for yourself and one day for your very own family. Your gender also takes a role as well. Biologically speaking males responsibility is to protect and provide and be a leader, for females is to protect and raise young ones. Men would desire power and women desire everything. Your class in society can make a big difference such as a rich person and a poor persons desires and responsibilities would be very different. When your poor you take on alot of responsibilities because you have to figure out how your going to feed yourself with the very little money you have, how you are going to pay the bills with the income your making and how your going to do try to make your life easier. Your desire for being at the bottom is wanting on getting on the top fast. If you were a rich person your responsibilites are alot easier because you can use the large sums of cash you have to get what ever you need to do. The desire of a rich person is how can they get even more rich and even more powerful.


 

Should marijuana be legal?

Should marijuana be legal? I believe that marijuana should be legal as there are more benefits than the bad side effects of the drug. Marijuana has always been downgraded today by the media saying that its bad for you but marijuana have good effects on your physical well-being. There is no strong evidence that marijuana actually causes problems on psychologically and social problems, such as mental illness and school failure. People who smoke marijuana and cigarettes are less likely to get cancer than a person who only smokes cigarettes Marijuana has the potential for health and has many healing benefactors. Which is good for cancer patients or other terminal ill people to use to help fight there suffering. Marijuana affects both sides of the brain in a positive way. The left side of the brain's perception is heightened and the right side of the brain's reception is enhanced. Marijuana can also benefit psychologically as well.  Marijuana has the effect on the body where it relaxes the body and makes one more alert. Marijuana has been a good answer towards for anyone that is going through depression. Which is good for cancer patients or other terminal ill people to use to help fight there suffering. When marijuana is used for a long period of time it results in having the person to have more subtle motives. Marijuana leads to people to be less aggressive. There are currently twenty one  out of fifty states that legalize marijuana, that is almost half the country. With this the processing of marijuana can now be professionally distributed to the public without having the risk of people obtaining tampered drugs especially young teens of this day, also the government has the power to tax the drug and could price it on how they deem seems fit for it. This could lead to having less marijuana being used because of the problem of cost. Legalizing marijuana will lead to having more time to spend on real crimes instead of busting kids with weed. Marijuana is more effective, less toxic, and less expensive than alternative synthetic medicines currently used. There are so many facts that prove marijuana as a huge benefactor on people, society and economically.

You have a choice

You should really stop taking drugs. If you keep taking and misusing drugs you are going to die. The drugs you're taking will be slowly killing you little by little every day. Every inch of your body will be affected by the side effects of taking drugs. You may feel a slight jolt of excitement for a moment by taking drugs but the price you pay with your will take its toll. As you are now killing off all your vital organs. Soon your lungs will get weaker and weaker and will cease to function and allow you to breathe properly. Your liver will shrivel up and will be rotting inside you. Your brain will now not be able to tell from between reality and hallucinations. Your heart will not be able to take the rush of the drug and will out of now where explode. Taking drugs is a guaranteed death sentence. Not only will drugs affect you but it will affect the people around you. When your under the influence you soon are not able to control yourself from doing things, you well end up doing something very stupid with this you may hurt someone on the run. By taking drugs you will soon start to lie, cheat and steal from the people you love. You will lie to your love ones about the fact that you are still using. You will cheat your self to gain something you don't deserve. You will steal from others in order to pay off for your selfish acts. Taking drugs will corrupt your life. It will a obstacle for you to achieve your goals. Do you think jobs or colleges would want a junkie anywhere near their property? No, because they want someone that is professional and know on how treat their own selves properly. Think about all the people you will be disappointing because of the bad choice you have made. You will never end up being that successful person in life if you keep using drugs. Stop taking drugs or you will be doomed to suffer a horrible life.

Should we as people stay the same and not change or should we keep going forward?

Throughout time and history life and cultures have been constantly changing at a very fast rate. The way we live today is completely different of how people lived centuries ago. As we progress, everything around will be affected as well. If we were to stay the same nothing would be able to improve and get better. We only change to be able achieve. In order to make room for improvement change is very necessary.

Do you think we would be the people we are today if there was never a change of events in history. No, of course not. In this world there are always going to be curious people who are questioning things which will lead to change. For example if people were never curious about what was outside there own surroundings would there still be exploration of other lands and create relations with others in order to make a change? If great explorers never explored and just stayed where they were, great influences on history such as Christopher Columbus finding land on America which was the starting point of colonizing America would never happen. Also change is very important for technology as well. Throughout time people have always been creating new gadgets to make daily chores and life easier. With out change we wouldn't have all these life luxuries such as phones, computers, internet, television, cars, a home and other popular inventions that we use today. Think about it each of these ideas for these inventions started off as way to make life easier and to change. For example the inventor of the phone wanted to make communication between people easier so he created the phone in order people to change from sending telegrams and now to be able to call someone up to contact one another. Change is one of the reasons why we live so long as medical research is always changing, looking for improvements to help humans prolong their lives.

Change is so important because change is the idea of wanting to make a difference on what you do and how you live.

How to procrastinate

To procrastinate is quite simple and very easy that anyone can do it. To procrastinate means that you have to utterly wait for the last minute to do an assignment because you were to busy scrolling though random videos on YouTube. First step you must have received an assignment from your teacher or who ever gives you work to do. Next step you must do what ever you want and put everything else first instead of the given assignment. You could literally be doing anything such as watch television, go on the computer and look up random crap, you could go make your self a sandwich, and what ever weird things you would do. Next step you now must have this mind set where you think you can just do it the next day and that you have plenty of time for everyday before the given due date of the assignment. With this it will help you wait for the last minute because you think you have all the time in the world to work on it but you don't which will bring you to this next step. The panicking stage, this is the  scenario where its the night before the due date and you have no idea what you are going to do for this assignment. You also are now stressing about how on earth your going to do this assignment now and also very mad at your self for waiting so long to do it. It's now over midnight and you still have nothing because every idea you had came up with in the last hour was utter crap. At this point you want to give up and just not do it and get that F just so you could finally go to sleep of what few hours you have left before you have to get ready for school. But when all hope is lost you decide to wing it and come up with a random idea to write about because you just don't care anymore and what you know your idea you just made sounds pretty good. Finally the last step you are now done with your assignment at pass midnight and is very tired but feel very accomplished because you were able to get it done before the due date. Note to self try not to procrastinate.

The Automobile!

Cars an invention made to make transportation more efficient. The car is such an important instrument in our daily lives. Since the day of the first car was invented, cars have been able to give humans a new way of fast transportation. In a way cars have made our lives much easier. I could not think of any other invention more important than the car as we use the car for many reasons. It is really important to have a car because how else would we be able to get to places on time without it. Think about it if car were never invented we would have had to still use horses to get to places. Actually that sounds pretty awesome but I would still prefer a car. Cars are very useful as they can bring you to many destinations. Imagine having to go to other towns, cities or even other states without a car. Places that would take days to walk there would only take of a matter of minutes to get with a car. Not only can a car give transportation but it gives you entertainment as well. You could blast some music in your car. You could even race and drift with your car. A car could shelter you from the weather, like rainy days. You could even personalize your car to however you want it to look or have to your personal interest. There are so many varieties of brands of cars today in the world that your could choose from as well. Cars is such an important factor in life. Cars have been a starting point for all types of motor used inventions. Such as other vehicles like buses and motor bikes. It also help lead to make better tools such as like a lawn mower. The car is just that amazing.

Metonymy - The Old Suits

The old suits are on the television once again on going on with discussing the countries problems. The old suit rises to the stand while fixing his blue striped tie and cuff linking his black jacket. As he stood barely tall enough to speak into the mike, he starts speaking with his aged voice. "Today our country faces a critical problem if left alone will lead to terrible consequences." With this the crowd sits in silence waiting and listening carefully to learn about the crisis. "Currently the country Syria is at midst of a civil war with in its country between their government and the people of Syria that do not agree with government."  "Our country must decide on whether to or not to take action in Syria." Cameras flashing, reporters asking questions the crowd starts talking as the old suit finishes his sentence. A question shouted from the crowd made by one of the paper presses. "Why are we always involving ourselves in other countries affairs?" The old suit argues back in his old wise voice. "If we do nothing not only will we let a country fall to ruin but also the innocents that maintain in Syria will take damage as well." In Syria their government resulted using chemical weapons on its own people. The old suit just keeps yapping off more issues that has happened in Syria to draw the crowds attention and to make them feel more sincere for the people of Syria. "So much has happened in Syria with America's involvement we can save lives and prevent further chaos." With this the old suit argues against all that think we should do nothing to help Syria and mind our own business. From writing this story i believe that involving our country to help Syria will make a difference. If nothing is done nothing is changed so doing nothing would just let the suffering to continue. As the old suit makes a point to his listeners a great debate begins of one side wanting to have take action in Syria and another wanting to sit on the side thinking that our involvement would only worsen the countries' problem. So i end this story with a question, "What do you think should be done?"

The Meaning of my name

David Huang is my name. What's the meaning of my name? Well for me my name could mean a variety of things. In my own terms it could mean a friend, a brother, and a son. The origin of how I achieved David as my first name was that my parents decided to give me an English name so they were flipping through a book of names to name me and found that they really liked the name David. I achieved my last name through my dad obviously.

I never wondered where my name had came from or the history behind it not until I was given this assignment, so I searched it up. I had learned that many countries use the name David and is ranked really high for the popularity usage of the name. I had learned that my name had derived from the Hebrew name Dawid which had came from the Hebrew word (דוד or dwd) which means beloved. I had learned that there were many historical, religious and famous figures that were named David. David was also a name of one Israel's greatest king who is included in the Old Testament where he had defeated Goliath.

My last name is Huang and in Chinese it means Yellow. My last name is ranked 7th as the most common name used in China. My last name is also used in other countries such as Korea and Vietnam. Huang is an ancient surname which leads back into over four thousand years ago in the days of legendary sage emperors in the Xia dynasty. Also found out that a river in China is called the Huang River. 

At the end of the day I started to think of how unique my name is. I feel inspired of the achievements that people who were named David had achieved. I feel happy about the new knowledge I learned about from my first name and my last name. I also searched my name on urban dictionary and was very happy to see how awesome the name David is.
